Easier than you imagine
Most of the Far Infrared Heaters by Royal Infrared Heating® can be mounted without help of a professional electrician. Our products are developed and designed primarily for the efficient heating and ease of implementation.
Only four holes are needed to be drilled in a wall to perform an installation. Installation kit comes with each unit. Below you can see the step-by-step Installation Guide.
For a hardwired installation we recommend to use an assistance of any local electrician. The hardwired installation is easy as to hardwire a TV or any electrical appliance. No extra line needed in most of the cases. Simply hardwire the heater to the closest electrical outlet/box.
Keep in mind that our company does not provide installation, however, our managers can assist you finding an electrician and will also provide you with a helpful installation advice if requested.
Still need assistance with an installation? E-mail us for more details at info@royal-infrared.es.
Remove all the protective films
Please make sure to remove all the protective films (both on the front and back)! On the front - a small sticker at the top right corner. On the back - the blue film.
Wall mounting
This Installation Guide is for Wall Mounting (vertical) as Linteum and Linteum Duo models are for wall mounting only! Please do NOT mount this model to a ceiling.
Mounting brackets
There is no need to pre-install any parts. The mounting brackets are attached to the device and allow you easily fit the heater to a wall with a help of only 4 screws.
Heater position recommendation
Our recommendation is to mount the heater in the middle or bottom part of any wall for the best heating efficiency.
In terms of positioning of the heater in the heated room/area, the best is to mount it as close as possible to the area where you or your guests spend most of the time.
Indeed, overtime the infrared waves will reach all surfaces providing an even temperature, but you will still feel more heat close to the heater.
Thus, you may want to mount the heater in the middle of the heated room/area to help spreading the heat as even as possible.
However, if you have a limited number of wall parts to mount the heater, always feel free to mount the heater to any available part. It will not simnifically change the efficiency of the IR heating.
Power source
Plug it in
If you want simply plug the heater in a socket, please make sure the socket is located nearby or you use a proper quality socket-extension. By default the electrical cord length is 1.9m. You can cut it and extend if needed.
Use this method for a simple on/off usage or with one of our plug-in thermostats.
Or hardwire it
If you want to hard-wire the heater, you can use any closest electrical outlet/box or even any socket or light switcher to get to the electrical line. You can easily cut the electrical cord and extent it as much as needed.
Use this method for a simple on/off usage or with one of our mains-powered thermostats. In the latter case keep in mind that the heater must be hardwired to the thermostat and then to the mains.
Thermostat (if you order one)
This Installation Guide does not include details to install and setup our thermostats. Please check the product page to find the right Installation Guide.
Before you choose the mounting position, please keep in mind that in case you want to use the heater with any of out thermostats (both plug-in and mains-powered), you should position a chosen thermostat not too far from the panel.
This is important in order to minimise the difference between the real ambient temperature and the one which will be displayed on the thermostat. Thermostat allows you to have manual, app, smart and voice (Alexa, Google Home) controls over the heater.
Attach towel rack(s)
1. Remove plastic caps
Take off the two plastic caps the mounting bracket(s) of the towel rail Linteum/Linteum Duo.
For Linteum please keep in mind that you can attach a towel rack to any mounting bracket. If you choose the lower one, keep in mind that bigger towels might take longer to dry/warm up.
2. Insert aluminium caps
Insert the two aluminium caps to the mounting bracket(s).
Hold the towel rack and insert screws that come with each towel rack.
3. Tight the screws
Use screws to tight the towel rack(s) to the heater back surface.
Note
- This towel rail is designed for towel or light clothes, not for heavy clothes such as overcoat with water etc.
- Towel or other light clothes should not cover the heating panels
MOUNT THE HEATER
1. Mounting position & minimum distances
Choose the mounting position on any appropriate wall part. Higher you mount the towel rail heaters Linteum and Linteum Duo, more time they will take to heat a room/area.
Please keep the required (indicated on the image) minimum distances.
The IR heaters Linteum and Linteum Duo are safe to touch, however we always recommend to keep at least 10-30cm from the nearest furniture/curtain or interior object for the safety reasons.
You are responsible for choosing the appropriate installation position.
2. Mark the positions
Mark the positions for the four holes onto the drilling template (D) if there are no existing marks. Stick the drilling template on the wall. Find the size of your heater Linteu/Linteum Duo:
- Linteum 580W - 100 x 60cm - AEHK (reference points on the drilling template)
- Linteum Duo 580W - 100 x 60cm - AEHK (reference points on the drilling template)
Drill the holes with a 8mm rotary bit.
Please note that the heaters Linteum and Linteum Duo should be mounted only vertically in order to use the towel rack properly.
3. Insert the screws
Insert the screws into the dowels and fasten the screws. The screws should protrude approximately 0.5 cm from the dowels.
4. Hang the heater
Hang the towel rail heater Linteum/Linteum Duo (A) on a wall using 4 screws. The brackets are designed for an easy and safe installation process. Make sure you fit both brackets.
5. Slide the heater
Slide the heater Linteum/Linteum Duo to make the screws into the correct positions as shown on below image.
6. Plug the heater
Plug the heater Linteum/Linteum Duo in to start using it. If you order the heater with a plug-in thermostat, you should plug an electrical cord of a panel in a thermostat.
