Infrared Heating in Murcia, Spain
In early 2024, homeowner Honda Gitas contacted Royal Infrared Heating® for help heating a recently purchased property near Murcia. Poor insulation made the home uncomfortable during colder months and difficult to heat efficiently.
The property previously relied mainly on air conditioning for warmth, resulting in high electricity bills without providing consistent comfort. A more efficient and practical heating solution was needed.
The Heating Solution
Royal Infrared Heating® recommended a tailored system for the open-plan living area, kitchen, hallway and bedroom.
For the approximately 40m² open-plan area, the following products were installed:
1 × Domus 900W panel
1 × Domus 580W panel
1 × Repulsus 350W mirror heater for the kitchen
The Domus panels provide the main source of warmth, while the Repulsus mirror heater adds targeted heat and a practical mirror feature to the kitchen.
A further Domus 580W panel was installed above the bed to provide direct, comfortable warmth in the bedroom.

The full property setup included:
1 × Domus 900W panel
2 × Domus 580W panels
1 × Repulsus 350W mirror heater
Alternative Setup Options
Depending on the room layout, insulation and design preferences, the Domus 900W panel could be replaced with:
2 × Domus 580W panels
or
1 × Domus 580W panel and 1 × Repulsus 350W mirror heater
These alternatives provide greater flexibility for open-plan areas, larger rooms and spaces requiring more evenly distributed heat.
Installation
The installation was completed by electricians near Murcia at an approximate cost of €30–€40 per panel. The complete installation took around 2–3 hours.
All panels were mounted neatly in the selected locations, and the process was quick, clean and straightforward.
Outcome
Following the installation, the property felt warmer and more comfortable. The infrared heating system provided steady, energy-efficient warmth while reducing reliance on air conditioning.

The Heating Solution

For the stairs and landing of approximately 13m², the following was installed: 1 x Domus 900W panel 1 x Poer 26 WiFi thermostat This panel was positioned opposite the stairs to help warm both the stairwell and landing.
Installation
All wiring was concealed during installation, giving the finished setup a clean and modern appearance. The Domus panels were mounted neatly in each area, while the Poer 26 WiFi thermostats allowed each space to be controlled separately for better comfort and efficiency.

This placement provided comfortable warmth during meals and helped create a more pleasant dining space. A separate thermostat was fitted for this area, allowing independent control from the living area.
Hall and Stairs
For the hall and stair area, the following products were installed: 1 x Domus 580W panel 1 x Poer 26 WiFi thermostat The panel was installed on the main wall, facing the stairs. This helped provide warmth to both the hallway and the stairwell leading to the upper floor. Like the other panels, it was connected to its own Poer 26 WiFi thermostat for precise temperature control.
Installation
The installation was carried out by a local professional electrician recommended by the Royal Infrared Heating® team. The electrician ensured each panel was positioned correctly and wired neatly to its dedicated thermostat for safe, convenient and efficient use.

The Domus 580W panel was installed approximately 30cm above the floor on an exterior wall near the window. This helped reduce the effect of cold draughts and warm the wall itself, improving comfort in the room. Each panel was connected to its own Avis S smart plug-in thermostat, allowing independent temperature control for different areas of the living space.
Bedroom
For the bedroom of approximately 13m², the following was installed: 1 x Domus 580W panel The panel was positioned in front of the bed to provide direct, comfortable warmth during the colder months.
Installation
