REPULSUS

Elegant mirror heating that brings comfortable infrared warmth, everyday functionality and modern style to your interior

PREMIUM FAR-INFRARED TECHNOLOGY

At the heart of every Repulsus heated mirror is a premium carbon heating element, designed to distribute far-infrared warmth evenly across the mirror’s surface.

Unlike basic NiCr heating cables, the carbon element provides broader, more consistent heat with fewer concentrated hot spots. This ensures dependable everyday performance, comfortable warmth and long-term reliability.

Many heated mirrors may look similar from the outside, but their internal heating technology can significantly affect heat distribution, comfort and long-term performance.

The Quality of an Infrared Mirror Begins Behind the Glass

At the heart of every Repulsus infrared mirror is a premium carbon heating element designed to distribute warmth evenly across the mirror’s surface.

Broad, Even Heat Distribution

Basic cable-based heaters use narrow resistive wires arranged behind the mirror. Heat is generated mainly along these individual cable paths, potentially creating more concentrated heating zones.

Repulsus uses a broad carbon heating element covering a larger surface area. This helps the mirror warm more consistently and radiate gentle, balanced heat into the room.

How Far-Infrared Warmth Works

Once heated, the mirror emits far-infrared energy that is absorbed by people, walls, floors and furniture. These surfaces retain some of the thermal energy and gradually release it back into the room.

The heated surface also helps reduce condensation on the mirror in humid environments such as bathrooms.

Because the system does not depend on a fan, it operates silently and without continuously circulating air and dust.

Why Carbon Technology Matters

A broad carbon heating element supports:

  • More consistent mirror-surface temperatures

  • Fewer concentrated heating zones

  • Smooth, steady radiant warmth

  • Reduced condensation on the mirror

  • Quiet operation with no moving parts

  • A clean, multifunctional mirror design

  • Reliable performance for everyday heating

The heating element is fully enclosed behind the mirror and protected by its rigid outer construction.

Efficient, Measurable Performance

Repulsus is available in two power options:

Repulsus 350W consumes 0.35 kWh for every full hour of continuous operation.

For example:

0.35 kW × 4 hours = 1.4 kWh per day

Over 30 days, this equals 42 kWh before allowing for thermostat cycling.

Repulsus 500W consumes 0.50 kWh for every full hour of continuous operation.

For example:

0.50 kW × 4 hours = 2.0 kWh per day

Over 30 days, this equals 60 kWh before allowing for thermostat cycling.

Your actual cost depends on your electricity tariff, room insulation, desired temperature and daily operating schedule.

Pairing the mirror with a compatible thermostat allows it to switch off automatically once the selected room temperature has been reached.

Mirror Outside. Advanced Heating Inside.

At only 2.5 cm deep, Repulsus combines a functional mirror with premium infrared heating technology in one discreet wall-mounted product.

Available in 350W and 500W versions, it provides comfortable radiant warmth while serving as an elegant everyday mirror.

The real difference is not simply how the mirror looks on the wall—it is the technology working behind the glass.

WHY CHOOSE REPULSUS?

A clear heated mirror, LED lighting and comfortable far-infrared warmth

Efficient Warmth.
Smarter Comfort.

Repulsus combines an everyday mirror, LED backlight and infrared heater in one slim, multifunctional design. Choose 350W at 100 × 60 × 2.5 cm or 500W at 120 × 60 × 2.5 cm.

Its broad carbon heating element distributes gentle far-infrared warmth evenly across the mirror and surrounding space without fans, noise or continuous air circulation.

The 350W and 500W models consume 0.35 kWh and 0.50 kWh per full operating hour. The integrated touch sensor controls the light and heating separately.

By warming the mirror and nearby surfaces, Repulsus can help reduce condensation, cold spots and damp conditionswhen combined with suitable ventilation and building maintenance.

Slim, modern and practical

The Repulsus heated mirror by Royal Infrared Heating® combines a clean, contemporary mirror with gentle far infrared warmth. Designed to fit naturally into bathrooms, bedrooms, hallways and dressing areas, Repulsus gives you two functions in one: a reliable mirror and a discreet heat source.

Natural far infrared warmth

Repulsus uses far infrared heating to warm people and nearby surfaces directly rather than only heating the air. That means the mirror helps reduce condensation, makes the immediate area feel more comfortable faster, and does so without noisy fans or strong air movement.

Designed for bathrooms and any room

Repulsus is suitable for bathrooms when installed to local electrical and safety standards. It also works well in bedrooms, corridors and dressing rooms where a mirror and a gentle local heat source are useful. The mirror’s slim profile and neutral finish let it blend into modern interiors.

Flexible installation and control

Repulsus mounts on the wall and is supplied with the necessary hardware for a straightforward fit. It can be used with simple plug-in power where allowed, or integrated with hardwired connections and compatible thermostats for timed or programmable control. This gives you flexibility to use Repulsus as a standalone mirror heater or as part of a zoned heating plan.

Built for everyday comfort

Made from durable materials and engineered for quiet, low-maintenance operation, Repulsus is a practical choice for customers who want a neat, multi-purpose solution. It keeps mirrors clear, reduces local moisture, and adds a subtle, efficient source of warmth to the rooms where you need it most.

Warmth That Feels More Natural – Repulsus Heated Mirror

The Repulsus heated mirror from Royal Infrared Heating® delivers gentle, natural-feeling warmth while serving as a high-quality mirror. It gives the same soft, sun-like sensation as far infrared panels but in a compact, dual-purpose product that suits bathrooms, dressing areas, hallways and bedrooms.

Direct radiant heat for immediate comfort

Repulsus warms people and nearby surfaces directly instead of relying on heated air. The mirror’s infrared output quickly raises the temperature of skin, towels and surrounding surfaces, so the area feels comfortable faster and with less energy than many convection heaters.

Lasting comfort from surface heating

Because Repulsus transfers heat to objects and surfaces, those surfaces store and slowly re-radiate warmth back into the space. That reduces cold spots and the need for constant running, creating a steadier, more balanced indoor temperature over time.

Less air movement and better indoor comfort

Repulsus does not use fans, so it avoids strong air circulation and the dust movement that comes with it. That makes the mirror ideal for bedrooms, bathrooms and dressing rooms where calm, clean air and quiet operation matter. Infrared warmth also does not dry the air the way many fan-driven heaters do, so the room feels more pleasant during regular use.

Reduces condensation and keeps mirrors clear

A heated mirror helps prevent steam and condensation from forming on the glass, making it especially useful in bathrooms. Repulsus keeps the mirror surface clear after showers and reduces local moisture on nearby walls and fabrics, helping to limit the conditions that lead to mould.

Premium heating element and even warmth

Repulsus uses a high-quality infrared heating element to ensure even heat across the mirror surface. The internal construction focuses on reliable, long-term performance so the mirror provides consistent warmth without hot spots or uneven output.

Built for everyday use

Designed with durable materials and quiet operation, Repulsus is a practical, low-maintenance solution that combines function and comfort. It clears mirrors, reduces local moisture, and adds a subtle, efficient source of warmth exactly where you need it.

Efficient use of electricity

Repulsus heated mirrors are designed to give useful, local warmth while using electricity efficiently. Because they combine mirror and heater in one unit, they deliver targeted heat exactly where it’s needed – in bathrooms, dressing areas and hallways – so you don’t waste energy heating the whole room when you only need a small, comfortable zone.

Warmth that stays where you want it

Repulsus works by warming nearby surfaces and people directly rather than relying on heated air alone. The mirror’s radiant output is absorbed by skin, towels and surrounding surfaces, which then release that stored heat back into the immediate area. That creates a steadier, longer‑lasting feeling of comfort around the mirror and reduces the need for continuous high-power operation.

Lower running costs in daily use

ModelPower (kW)kWh per monthMonthly cost (€)Cost per hour (€)
350 W0.350.35⋅4⋅30=4242⋅0.20=8.400.35⋅0.20=0.07
500 W0.500.50⋅4⋅30=6060⋅0.20=12.000.50⋅0.20=0.10

Ideal for local and bathroom heating

Repulsus mirrors are especially useful where you want a focused heat source: by the sink, next to a shower, or in a dressing area. They reduce mirror condensation and warm the immediate zone without needing to run a larger room heater. For larger spaces, combine Repulsus with other panels or towel rails to create balanced coverage.

Designed to reduce energy waste

Convection heaters often warm the air first, which can rise and escape or create uneven temperatures. Repulsus delivers radiant heat directly to surfaces and people, making better use of the electricity consumed. When matched to the task – short preheat times around bathroom use, or occasional use in dressing areas — a heated mirror can be a very efficient addition to a home heating plan.

Practical installation for lasting comfort

Install Repulsus according to local electrical and safety standards so it performs reliably and safely in wet rooms. Positioned correctly, the mirror provides immediate comfort, helps keep surfaces drier, and reduces the need for longer, higher‑power heating cycles. When used as part of a considered heating strategy, Repulsus offers a practical balance of comfort, convenience and low running cost.

Warmer Surfaces, Less Condensation

The Domus infrared panel heater helps create a warmer and drier indoor environment by heating walls, floors, furniture and surrounding surfaces directly.

Damp problems often begin when warm air meets cold surfaces, creating condensation on walls, windows or corners of the room. By gently warming these surfaces, far infrared heating can help reduce cold spots and lower the chance of moisture settling.

Supporting a Drier Indoor Space

Unlike traditional convection heaters, which mainly warm the air, infrared heating works by transferring warmth directly into the surfaces of the room.

As walls and objects absorb the heat, they become warmer and less likely to attract condensation. This can be especially helpful in rooms that often feel cold, damp or difficult to keep comfortable, such as bedrooms, offices, garden rooms, bathrooms, utility areas and older properties.

Helping to Reduce Mould Conditions

Mould is more likely to develop in areas where moisture is present for long periods, especially on cold walls or poorly ventilated surfaces.

By helping to keep walls and surfaces warmer, the Domus panel can support a drier environment and reduce the conditions that allow mould to grow. This makes infrared heating a practical choice for customers who want both comfortable warmth and better control of moisture in their space.

A More Comfortable Living Environment

A damp room can feel colder, less comfortable and less pleasant to use. Far infrared heating helps create a more stable feeling of warmth by heating the room’s surfaces rather than only the air.

This can make the space feel more comfortable while also helping to reduce the heavy, damp feeling often found in cold rooms.

Important to Know

Infrared heating can help reduce condensation and damp conditions, but it should be used alongside proper ventilation and good building maintenance.

If a room has water leaks, poor insulation or serious structural damp, those issues should be repaired. The Domus panel can support a warmer and drier environment, but it should not be seen as a replacement for fixing the cause of moisture problems.

Simple Setup.
Flexible Control.

Repulsus includes a complete wall-mounting kit and 1.9-metre EU power cable, allowing straightforward plug-in installation without complex electrical work.

Use the integrated touch sensor to control each function: tap for the LED backlight or press and hold to activate the infrared heater. Thermostats are not compatible.

Install the slim mirror vertically or horizontally to suit your room, save space and direct infrared warmth towards the areas used most.

Premium materials and carbon heating technology provide reliable everyday warmth with no fan, open flame, moving parts or regular maintenance.

Simple setup for everyday use

The Repulsus heated mirror is designed to be quick to fit and simple to use. Once the mirror is securely mounted on the wall and connected to power, it works straight away and keeps the immediate area warm while preventing steam and condensation on the glass.

No complex heating system required

Repulsus does not need pipes, boilers or radiators. It operates as an independent electric heater and mirror in one, making it ideal for bathrooms, dressing areas, hallways and any room where you want a local, practical heat source without changing the property’s main heating system.

Installation kit included

Each Repulsus mirror comes with the mounting hardware and clear fitting instructions. The mirror’s slim, lightweight design makes the mounting process straightforward when fitted to a suitable wall. For bathrooms, follow local electrical and safety rules for wet rooms.

Ready to use after mounting

After the mirror is fixed and powered, it is ready to use. The integrated design saves floor space and keeps the heater neatly out of the way while delivering gentle, targeted warmth exactly where you need it.

Optional hardwired finish

If you prefer a cleaner, permanent look, Repulsus can be hardwired by a qualified electrician. Hardwiring hides the cable and gives a neater finish, which is useful when installing multiple units or when you want the mirror fully integrated into the room.

Reliable Thermostat Connection for Repulsus

Repulsus heated mirrors are designed to work with external thermostat controls so you can manage bathroom and local heating reliably.

Stable physical connection

Rather than relying on a weak internal wireless module, Repulsus uses a physical connection to a compatible thermostat. You can control the mirror heater with a plug‑in thermostat or a hardwired mains thermostat for dependable operation and consistent response.

Smart control options

When paired with a compatible Wi‑Fi thermostat, Repulsus can be controlled from your smartphone. Adjust temperature, set schedules and manage the mirror remotely. Shared access is possible for households, rental properties or workplaces that need multiple users to control heating.

Plug‑in thermostat

A plug‑in thermostat offers a quick, no‑fuss setup: the mirror plugs into the thermostat, and the thermostat plugs into the socket. Models are available as manual, programmable or Wi‑Fi enabled, making this a flexible choice for bathrooms, dressing areas and temporary spaces.

Hardwired thermostat

For a neater, permanent finish, Repulsus can be hardwired by a qualified electrician. Hardwiring hides the cable, supports multi‑panel setups and can integrate with zone controls or existing mains thermostat systems where wiring allows.

Intuitive single‑touch operation

A single short press on the Repulsus touch sensor turns the LED light on or off, giving immediate mirror illumination without changing heating settings.

Long press for heating

Press and hold the touch sensor to activate or deactivate the mirror’s heating function. The long press prevents accidental heating changes from brief touches.

Clear LED feedback

The mirror provides distinct LED indicators so you can see at a glance whether the light is on, the heater is active, or the unit is in standby. LED colours and blink patterns are designed to be easy to read in bathroom lighting.

Safety and convenience features

The touch sensor supports a brief lock sequence to avoid accidental activation in busy areas. The heating function will always follow local electrical and safety regulations for wet rooms and should be installed accordingly.

Thermostat compatibility and manual override

Repulsus is designed to work with external thermostats for precise temperature control. The touch sensor offers a convenient manual override for short‑term use, while thermostatic control remains the recommended method for energy efficiency and consistent comfort.

Installation and finish options

The touch sensor is integrated into the mirror for a clean look. For a fully concealed finish, Repulsus can be hardwired by a qualified electrician and paired with compatible Royal Infrared Heating® or third‑party controls.

Vertical or Horizontal Installation for Repulsus

Flexible mounting orientation Repulsus heated mirrors can be installed vertically or horizontally, so you can choose the orientation that best fits your bathroom, hallway, dressing area or bedroom.

Space‑saving, clean design

The slim, wall‑mounted mirror keeps floors clear and blends into modern interiors. Mounted flush to the wall, Repulsus provides mirror function and local warmth without bulky radiators or freestanding heaters.

Secure mounting system included

Each Repulsus unit ships with a secure mounting kit and clear fitting instructions to make installation straightforward. Fit the mirror to a suitable wall surface and ensure fixings are appropriate for the wall type and mirror weight.

Bathroom safety and wiring

For wet rooms, follow local electrical and safety regulations. Repulsus can be used with plug‑in power where allowed, or hardwired by a qualified electrician for a neater finish and concealed cabling.

Multiple units for balanced coverage

In larger bathrooms or open areas, installing more than one Repulsus mirror helps spread warmth and reduce condensation across the space rather than concentrating heat in a single spot.

Important to Know

This guide provides an estimate. The correct Repulsus setup depends on the room’s insulation, ceiling height, window quality, layout, outside temperature and desired comfort level.

For smaller rooms, one Repulsus 350W or 500W may be sufficient. For larger areas, using multiple mirrors can distribute warmth more naturally throughout the room.

Combining Repulsus 350W and 500W models can also help balance heating power, mirror size and available wall space.

Consumption Guide
for Repulsus

The Repulsus 350W uses 0.35 kWh per hour when the heating function is running at full power. The Repulsus 500W uses 0.50 kWh per hour.

Repulsus provides quick, direct infrared warmth, so it may not need to remain switched on throughout the day. Walls, floors, furniture and surrounding surfaces absorb the radiant warmth and gradually release some of it back into the room.

Actual electricity consumption depends on the model, daily operating time, room size, insulation, outside temperature and desired comfort level.

Estimated Monthly Cost

Based on 30 days of use and an electricity rate of €0.20 per kWh:

Repulsus SetupPrice / Month (1 hr/day)Price / Month (2 hrs/day)Price / Month (4 hrs/day)
1 × Repulsus 350W€2.10€4.20€8.40
1 × Repulsus 500W€3.00€6.00€12.00
1 × Repulsus 350W + 1 × Repulsus 500W€5.10€10.20€20.40
2 × Repulsus 500W€6.00€12.00€24.00
2 × Repulsus 500W + 1 × Repulsus 350W€8.10€16.20€32.40
3 × Repulsus 500W€9.00€18.00€36.00

How to Calculate Your Running Cost

Use the following calculation:

Power in kW × daily operating hours × electricity rate × 30 days

For example, using one Repulsus 500W for two hours per day:

0.50 kW × 2 hours × €0.20 × 30 days = €6.00 per month

Important to Know

These figures are estimates based on the heating function operating for the full stated period. Actual consumption may be higher or lower depending on how frequently the mirror is used.

The LED backlight consumes considerably less electricity than the heating function. Most of the running cost comes from the infrared heating element.

Repulsus mirrors use manual controls and are not compatible with plug-in or hardwired thermostats. The heating function should therefore be switched on and off using the controls provided with the mirror.

Installation Guide
for Repulsus

Installing Domus requires four holes to be drilled into a suitable wall. Each unit includes screws, wall plugs, towel-rail fittings and a detailed drilling template. For clear, step-by-step instructions, please follow the Domus Installation Guide.

far-infrared-mirror-heater-repulsus-500W-LED-by-royal-infrared-heating-spain-portugal-aq-min

Simple Touch Sensor

Repulsus mirror heaters use a touch-sensitive control button built into the mirror. The LED backlight and infrared heating element are controlled separately through this sensor.

  • Briefly press the sensor to switch the LED backlight on or off.

  • Press and hold the sensor to activate or deactivate the infrared heating element.

This allows you to use the mirror light without heating or activate the infrared heating whenever warmth is required.

Important: Not Compatible with Thermostats

Repulsus cannot be controlled using plug-in, smart or hardwired thermostats.

A thermostat only switches the electricity supply to the mirror on or off. When Repulsus receives power, it remains in standby mode by default – the LED backlight and infrared heating element do not activate automatically.

The thermostat can disconnect power from the mirror, but it cannot operate the touch sensor or reactivate the light and heating when power is restored.

For this reason, Repulsus must be operated using its built-in touch-sensitive control button.

Hardwired Installations

Even when Repulsus is hardwired, it must not be connected through a thermostat-controlled circuit. Hardwiring does not bypass the touch controls or allow the heating function to start automatically.

Repulsus Mirror + 5 Domus Panels

Stylish Infrared Heating with Domus Panels and Repulsus Mirror in Murcia, Spain

Jonathan Wallace, a homeowner in Murcia, wanted an energy-efficient heating solution that would warm several areas of his home while still fitting naturally into the interior design. After researching different options, he chose a complete infrared heating setup from Royal Infrared Heating®. The solution included five Domus infrared panels for heating multiple rooms and a Repulsus 500W Mirror Heater for the living area. The aim was to create a home heating system that was efficient, comfortable and visually discreet, without relying on bulky radiators or air conditioning.

The Heating Solution

This position allowed the mirror heater to provide direct warmth to the room while blending beautifully with the existing furniture and décor. The LED backlight added a stylish finishing touch. When switched on, it created a soft, modern glow in the room. When switched off, the heater kept a clean and minimal mirror appearance.

Installation

The heater was installed neatly on the wall, taking up no floor space and avoiding the need for a traditional radiator. Its slim mirror design made it a practical and decorative part of the room, rather than something that looked like a heating appliance. The Domus panels were used throughout the property to create a complete infrared heating system for everyday comfort.

Outcome

Jonathan was very pleased with the performance and appearance of the new heating setup. The Repulsus 500W Mirror Heater provided targeted warmth in the living area, making the space feel cosy and inviting during colder months. The Repulsus 350W was excellent during the colder months. I liked being able to touch the button on the mirror and have the bathroom warm before getting in the shower. It takes less than 5 minutes, and there is no separate thermostat to worry about. In summer, it still looks beautiful and does not get in the way.

We used this heater all winter and it made a clear difference. The bathroom was much more comfortable in the mornings. Now the weather is warmer, it still looks great and does not feel like a heater taking up space. Very clever design.

The Repulsus mirror heater is a very tidy solution. I do not like bulky radiators in a bathroom, so this was a good choice for us. It warms the room nicely before a shower, and the mirror with the light behind it gives the bathroom a much softer look.
