Efficient Heating to SAVE MONEY
Slim, Modern and Practical
The Domus 580W by Royal Infrared Heating® is a slim, modern far infrared panel heater designed to provide comfortable and efficient warmth for everyday indoor spaces.
With 580 watts of power and a panel size of 100 x 60 x 2.5 cm, the Domus 580W is suitable for rooms up to 13m², depending on insulation, ceiling height, room layout and installation conditions. Its clean white finish and slim 2.5 cm profile allow it to fit neatly into homes, offices, bedrooms, garden rooms, hallways and other modern interiors.
Natural Far Infrared Warmth
Instead of only heating the air, the Domus panel uses far infrared technology to warm people, walls, floors, furniture and surrounding surfaces directly. This creates a more natural and even feeling of warmth, helping the room stay comfortable without strong air movement or unnecessary dust circulation.
Flexible Installation and Control
The panel can be installed vertically or horizontally on the wall, giving you flexibility when choosing the best position for your space. An installation kit is included, and the heater is supplied with a 2 metre EU plug cable for simple plug-in use.
For improved comfort and energy control, the Domus 580W can also be used with compatible plug-in thermostats, hardwired thermostats or smart control options.
Built for Everyday Comfort
Built with quality materials and advanced heating technology, the Domus 580W is a practical choice for customers who want a clean design, reliable performance and a simple way to heat their space efficiently.
Warmth That Feels More Natural
The Domus 580W uses far infrared heating to create a gentle and comfortable warmth that feels similar to natural sunlight, without producing UV rays.
Instead of blowing hot air around the room, the panel warms people, walls, floors, furniture and surrounding surfaces directly. This creates a softer and more natural feeling of heat, making the room feel comfortable without the heavy or stuffy feeling often caused by traditional heaters.
Direct Heating for Lasting Comfort
Traditional convection heaters mainly heat the air first. Warm air rises quickly, which can lead to uneven temperatures, cold spots and wasted energy.
Far infrared heating works differently. It transfers warmth directly to the surfaces and objects in the room. Once these surfaces absorb the heat, they slowly release it back into the space, helping the room stay warm and comfortable for longer.
This creates a more balanced indoor temperature and helps reduce the need for the heater to work constantly.
Less Air Movement and Less Dryness
Because the Domus panel does not rely on strong air circulation, it creates a calmer and more comfortable indoor environment.
With less air movement, there is also less dust being pushed around the room. This can make infrared heating a practical choice for bedrooms, offices, living areas and other spaces where comfort and clean air movement are important.
Far infrared heating also does not dry the air in the same way as many fan or convection-based heaters, helping the room feel more pleasant during regular use.
Premium Carbon Heating Technology
Inside the Domus panel, Royal Infrared Heating® uses premium carbon heating technology to support even heat distribution and reliable performance.
Many infrared panels may look similar from the outside, but the internal heating material makes a major difference to the quality of warmth, efficiency and long-term durability.
The carbon heating element inside the Domus panel helps spread warmth evenly across the surface of the heater. This allows the panel to provide steady, consistent heat rather than aggressive or uneven warmth.
Quality You Can Feel
The quality of an infrared heater is not only about how it looks on the wall. The most important difference is often inside the panel.
By using far infrared heating with a high-quality carbon heating element, the Domus 580W is designed to provide comfortable warmth, dependable operation and efficient everyday performance.
The result is a clean, modern heating solution that feels natural, works quietly and supports a more comfortable indoor environment.
Efficient Use of Electricity
The Domus 580W is designed to provide comfortable warmth while using electricity efficiently. With a power output of 580 watts, the panel uses 0.58 kWh of electricity for every full hour of operation.
Far infrared heating works by warming people, walls, floors, furniture and surrounding surfaces directly. This helps reduce wasted energy because the warmth is delivered where it is needed, rather than only heating the air first.
Warmth That Stays in the Room
One of the main advantages of far infrared heating is that the warmth is absorbed by the surfaces in the room. Walls, floors and furniture gradually store heat and then release it back into the space.
This creates a steadier and more lasting feeling of warmth. Instead of the heat disappearing quickly through rising warm air, the room benefits from warmth that remains within the surrounding surfaces.
Lower Running Costs in Daily Use
The running cost of the Domus 580W depends on your electricity tariff and how many hours the panel is used each day.
For example:
0.58 kW x 4 hours per day x 30 days = 69.6 kWh per month
To estimate your monthly cost, multiply 69.6 kWh by your electricity unit rate.
If your electricity rate is €0.20 per kWh:
69.6 kWh x €0.20 = €13.92 per month
This example is based on 4 hours of use per day over 30 days. Your actual cost may be higher or lower depending on your electricity tariff, room size, insulation, outside temperature and daily usage.
Suitable for Larger Spaces in Combination
The Domus 580W is suitable for smaller rooms up to 13m², depending on insulation, ceiling height and layout. For larger spaces, two or more panels can be used together to provide better heat coverage.
Installing panels on different walls can help distribute warmth more evenly across the room. This is especially useful in open-plan areas, larger offices, living spaces, commercial rooms or areas with more than one seating or working zone.
Using multiple panels also allows the heat to be spread more naturally throughout the space, instead of relying on one heating point to warm the whole room.
Designed to Reduce Energy Waste
Traditional heating systems often heat the air first, which can lead to warmth rising to the ceiling or escaping through doors and windows.
Far infrared heating works differently by directing warmth into the room’s surfaces and objects. This helps make better use of the electricity consumed and supports a more efficient heating experience.
When correctly matched to the size and layout of the room, the Domus 580W offers a practical balance between comfort, energy use and running cost.
Warmer Surfaces, Less Condensation
The Domus infrared panel heater helps create a warmer and drier indoor environment by heating walls, floors, furniture and surrounding surfaces directly.
Damp problems often begin when warm air meets cold surfaces, creating condensation on walls, windows or corners of the room. By gently warming these surfaces, far infrared heating can help reduce cold spots and lower the chance of moisture settling.
Supporting a Drier Indoor Space
Unlike traditional convection heaters, which mainly warm the air, infrared heating works by transferring warmth directly into the surfaces of the room.
As walls and objects absorb the heat, they become warmer and less likely to attract condensation. This can be especially helpful in rooms that often feel cold, damp or difficult to keep comfortable, such as bedrooms, offices, garden rooms, bathrooms, utility areas and older properties.
Helping to Reduce Mould Conditions
Mould is more likely to develop in areas where moisture is present for long periods, especially on cold walls or poorly ventilated surfaces.
By helping to keep walls and surfaces warmer, the Domus panel can support a drier environment and reduce the conditions that allow mould to grow. This makes infrared heating a practical choice for customers who want both comfortable warmth and better control of moisture in their space.
A More Comfortable Living Environment
A damp room can feel colder, less comfortable and less pleasant to use. Far infrared heating helps create a more stable feeling of warmth by heating the room’s surfaces rather than only the air.
This can make the space feel more comfortable while also helping to reduce the heavy, damp feeling often found in cold rooms.
Important to Know
Infrared heating can help reduce condensation and damp conditions, but it should be used alongside proper ventilation and good building maintenance.
If a room has water leaks, poor insulation or serious structural damp, those issues should be repaired. The Domus panel can support a warmer and drier environment, but it should not be seen as a replacement for fixing the cause of moisture problems.
Easy INSTALLATION & CONTROL
Simple Setup for Everyday Use
The Domus 580W is designed to be easy to install and simple to use. Once the panel is securely mounted on the wall, it can be connected directly to a standard power socket using the supplied 2 metre power cable.
This makes it a practical heating option for customers who want a straightforward solution without major electrical work.
No Complex Heating System Required
The Domus panel does not require pipes, boilers, radiators or a full central heating system. It works as an independent electric heating panel, making it suitable for single rooms, home offices, bedrooms, garden rooms, rental spaces and commercial areas.
This is especially useful when you want to add heating to a space without changing the existing heating system in the property.
Installation Kit Included
The panel is supplied with an installation kit to help with wall mounting. Its slim and lightweight design makes the installation process simple and clean when fitted correctly.
The panel should always be securely fixed to a suitable wall surface and installed according to the fitting instructions provided.
Ready to Use After Mounting
After the panel has been fitted safely and connected to power, it is ready to use. The clean wall mounted design keeps the heater neatly positioned and helps save floor space.
This makes the Domus 580W a convenient choice for rooms where you want efficient warmth without bulky heaters, visible radiators or complicated installation work.
Optional Hardwired Finish
For customers who prefer a cleaner and more permanent finish, the Domus panel can also be hardwired by a qualified electrician.
This option is ideal when you want the cable hidden, the panel integrated into the room more neatly, or several panels installed as part of a larger heating setup.
Reliable Thermostat Connection
The Domus panel is designed to work with external thermostat controls, giving you flexibility over how you manage your heating.
Instead of relying on a built in wireless thermostat inside the heater, the Domus uses a physical connection to a compatible thermostat. This can be done with a plug in thermostat or through a hardwired mains thermostat.
This setup provides a more stable and dependable way to control the heater, avoiding the common inconvenience of weak wireless connections directly inside the panel.
Smart Heating Control
When connected to a compatible Wi-Fi thermostat, the Domus panel can be controlled from your smartphone. This allows you to adjust the temperature, set heating schedules and manage the panel remotely when you are away from home.
Some smart thermostats also allow you to share access with family members, tenants or colleagues, making it easier to manage heating in homes, offices, rental properties and commercial spaces.
This gives you the benefit of smart heating control while keeping the heater itself simple, reliable and easy to maintain.
Plug In Thermostat Options
A plug in thermostat is a simple and convenient option for customers who want easy temperature control without professional installation.
The panel plugs into the thermostat, and the thermostat plugs into the wall socket. Depending on the model, plug in thermostats can be manual, programmable or Wi-Fi enabled.
This is a practical choice for bedrooms, offices, garden rooms, temporary spaces or any room where a quick and flexible setup is preferred.
Hardwired Thermostat Options
For a neater and more permanent setup, the Domus panel can also be connected to a hardwired mains thermostat by a qualified electrician.
Hardwired thermostats are ideal when you want to control one panel, several panels in the same room, or separate heating zones throughout a property.
Many hardwired thermostat options also include Wi-Fi control, allowing you to combine a clean cable free finish with modern smart heating features.
Manual Power Switch
The Domus panel also includes a discreet power switch on the back of the heater. This allows the panel to be switched on or off manually if needed.
The manual switch is useful for basic operation, but it does not provide temperature control. For better comfort, efficiency and day to day use, we recommend using the panel with a suitable thermostat.
Flexible for Different Heating Setups
The Domus panel can be used with a wide range of compatible thermostat options, including Royal Infrared Heating® thermostats, selected third party plug in thermostats and suitable hardwired controls.
In some cases, it may also be possible to integrate the panel with existing mains thermostat systems, depending on the property and wiring setup.
This flexibility makes the Domus suitable for simple home use, smart heating upgrades, larger heating projects and professional installations.
Vertical or Horizontal Installation
The Domus infrared panel heater is designed to be mounted either vertically or horizontally, giving you more freedom when choosing the best position for your room.
This flexibility makes it easier to fit the panel around furniture, windows, doors and available wall space. Whether you want a tall vertical layout or a wider horizontal position, the Domus panel can be installed in the way that best suits your interior.
Clean, Space Saving Design
The slim wall mounted design helps keep your room clear and uncluttered. Instead of taking up floor space like portable heaters or radiators, the Domus panel sits neatly against the wall with a clean and modern appearance.
This makes it suitable for homes, offices, bedrooms, garden rooms, hallways, commercial rooms and other spaces where both comfort and appearance matter.
Simple Four Point Mounting
The Domus panel is supplied with an installation kit for straightforward wall mounting. The fitting process uses four mounting points to hold the panel securely in place when installed on a suitable wall surface.
Once fixed correctly, the panel remains stable, discreet and ready for everyday use. The installation should always be carried out according to the official mounting instructions.
Suitable for Different Room Layouts
Because the Domus panel can be positioned in different ways, it works well in both small and larger spaces. In larger rooms, more than one panel can also be installed on different walls to help spread warmth more evenly across the area.
This is especially useful in open plan spaces, offices, commercial rooms or interiors where one heating point may not provide balanced coverage across the whole room.

Quality Beyond the Surface
Many infrared panel heaters can look similar from the outside, but the real difference is found inside the panel.
The Domus infrared panel heater by Royal Infrared Heating® is built with carefully selected materials and advanced internal heating technology. This helps provide steady warmth, reliable operation and long-term performance for everyday use.
Premium Internal Heating Technology
Inside the Domus panel, premium carbon heating technology is used to support even heat distribution across the surface of the heater.
This helps the panel produce a smooth and consistent warmth, rather than uneven heat or isolated hot spots. Even heat distribution is important for comfort, efficiency and the long-term performance of the heater.
Built for Long-Term Use
The Domus panel is designed to be a durable heating solution, not a short-term replacement product.
Some low-cost infrared heaters use basic internal heating cables that may become less efficient over time. The Domus panel uses a higher quality heating structure designed to maintain reliable performance during regular use.
This focus on better internal components helps support a longer service life and more dependable heating over time.
Safe Everyday Heating
The Domus panel is designed for safe wall-mounted use when installed and operated correctly. Its slim, fixed position helps keep the heater neatly placed on the wall, reducing the need for portable heaters, trailing units or bulky radiators.
The panel also provides quiet operation, with no fan, no open flame and no moving heating parts. This makes it a clean and practical heating choice for homes, offices, bedrooms, garden rooms and commercial spaces.
Designed with Quality in Mind
Royal Infrared Heating® focuses on practical design, dependable materials and efficient heating performance.
The Domus panel is made for customers who want more than a heater that simply looks good on the wall. It is designed to provide comfortable warmth, stable operation and long-lasting value.
By choosing Domus, you are choosing a heating panel built with care, designed for daily comfort and made to perform reliably over time.

The Linteum 580W can heat up to 13m² in well-insulated rooms. For larger spaces, open-plan areas or rooms with weaker insulation, using more than one panel helps spread warmth more evenly and improves comfort.
| Room Size | Well Insulated | Typical Insulation | Poorly Insulated |
|---|---|---|---|
| Up to 7m² | 1 panel | 1 panel | 1 panel |
| 8–13m² | 1 panel | 2 panels | 2 panels |
| 14–20m² | 2 panels | 2 panels | 3 panels |
| 21–26m² | 2 panels | 3 panels | 4 panels |
| 27–39m² | 3 panels | 4 panels | 5 panels |
Important to Know
This guide is an estimate. The correct number of panels depends on insulation, ceiling height, window quality, room layout, outside temperature and how warm you want the room to feel.
For larger areas, using multiple Linteum 580W panels can be more effective than relying on one heating point, as warmth is spread more naturally across the room.
Each Linteum 580W panel uses 0.58 kWh per hour when running at full power. However, when connected to a thermostat, the panel does not usually run continuously for the full heating period.
Once the room reaches the set temperature, the thermostat switches the panel off. Even after switching off, the panel and the warmed surfaces in the room continue to release gentle residual heat for around 30 minutes. The heat becomes softer during this time, but the room can still feel warm and comfortable.
This is one of the advantages of far infrared heating. Walls, floors, furniture and surrounding surfaces absorb the warmth and slowly release it back into the space, helping maintain comfort while reducing active electricity use.
As a practical estimate, if you want around 4 hours of comfortable heating, the panel may only need to actively run for approximately 2–3 hours. Actual use depends on insulation, room layout, thermostat settings, outside temperature and the month of the year.
During colder winter months, the panel may run for longer. During milder months, it may switch off more often and use less electricity.
Estimated Monthly Cost Example
Based on an electricity rate of €0.20 per kWh:
| Panels | 4 hrs/day | 6 hrs/day | 8 hrs/day |
| 1 panel | €8.70–€10.44 | €13.05–€15.66 | €17.40–€20.88 |
| 2 panels | €17.40–€20.88 | €26.10–€31.32 | €34.80–€41.76 |
| 3 panels | €26.10–€31.32 | €39.15–€46.98 | €52.20–€62.64 |
| 4 panels | €34.80–€41.76 | €52.20–€62.64 | €69.60–€83.52 |
| 5 panels | €43.50–€52.20 | €65.25–€78.30 | €87.00–€104.40 |
Important to Know
These figures are estimates based on thermostat-controlled use. Actual consumption may be lower or higher depending on insulation, ceiling height, window quality, room layout, outside temperature, the month of the year and your preferred comfort level.
Using a thermostat helps reduce unnecessary energy use because the Linteum panel only runs when heat is needed. Even when the thermostat switches it off, the panel and the room’s warmed surfaces continue releasing softer residual warmth for a period of time, helping the room stay comfortable for longer.
