Effortless Installation for Maximum Comfort

At Royal Infrared Heating®, we combine efficient bathroom heating with straightforward installation. Linteum is designed for simple vertical wall mounting. Attach the towel rail before mounting the panel, then follow the supplied instructions. Standard plug-in installation does not normally require an electrician, while hardwired installation must be completed by a qualified professional.

Quick and Simple Wall Mounting

Installing Linteum requires four holes to be drilled into a suitable wall. Each unit includes screws, wall plugs, towel-rail fittings and a detailed drilling template. For clear, step-by-step instructions, please follow the Linteum Installation Guide below.

1. Remove the Caps

Choose the mounting bracket and remove its two plastic caps.

The upper position is recommended for larger towels.

2. Fit the Towel Rail

Insert the two aluminium caps into the selected bracket.

Hold the towel rail in position and insert the supplied screws.

3. Tighten and Check

Tighten all screws evenly until the towel rail is secure.

Confirm that the rail is aligned and stable.

4. Mounting Position

Choose a suitable wall and select vertical or horizontal mounting.

Keep the panel at least 10 cm from nearby walls or objects and approximately 30 cm above the floor. Never install the Domus on a ceiling.

5. Mark, Drill the Holes

Attach the drilling template to the wall and mark the four mounting points.

Use ANLT for the Domus 900W or AEHK for the Domus 580W, then drill each marked hole using a suitable 8 mm bit.

6. Install Wall the Fixings

Insert the supplied wall plugs fully into the four drilled holes.

Fit the screws securely, leaving each screw head approximately 5 mm from the wall so the panel’s mounting brackets can attach safely and remain supported.

7. Hang the Panel

Align the pre-fitted brackets on the back of the panel with the four screw heads.

Carefully place the panel onto the screws and ensure that every mounting point is correctly engaged.

8. Secure the Panel

Slide the panel sideways until the screws move into the locked sections of the mounting brackets.

Check that the panel is level, stable and securely attached before releasing it.

9. Connect the Power

Connect the power cable to a suitable grounded wall socket and use the rear power switch to operate the heater.

When using a plug-in thermostat, connect the heater to the thermostat first, then plug the thermostat into the wall socket.

Attach the Towel Rail First

Before mounting Linteum on the wall, attach the towel rail to the preferred upper or lower position using the supplied fittings.

Make sure the rail is correctly aligned and securely tightened before continuing with the wall installation.

Recommended Heater Position

Mount Linteum vertically on the middle or lower section of a wall, at a practical height for using the towel rail.

Choose an unobstructed position facing the area where warmth is needed. Maintain the required distance from furniture, curtains and other objects.

Plug-In Connection

Connect the supplied 1.9-metre cable to a nearby grounded socket. If necessary, use a properly rated, grounded extension lead.

For plug-in thermostat control, connect Linteum to the thermostat and then connect the thermostat to the wall socket. Never modify the power cable yourself.

Hardwired Connection

For a clean, permanent installation, ask a qualified electrician to connect Linteum to a suitable electrical supply.

When using a mains-powered thermostat, Linteum connects to the thermostat, which then connects to the mains supply.

Thermostat Position

Position the thermostat in the same room, where it can measure the general air temperature accurately.

Keep it away from the panel’s direct infrared path, windows, doors, draughts and other heat sources. Follow the separate thermostat installation guide.
