PREMIUM FAR-INFRARED CARBON TECHNOLOGY 🌟
Inside every Linteum towel-rail panel, a premium carbon heating element spreads far-infrared warmth across the broad white surface while the front rail holds towels close to the heat.
This full-surface heating approach provides gentle bathroom comfort without noisy fans or bulky radiators. It helps keep towels warm, supports faster drying and delivers consistent room heating from one slim, practical wall-mounted unit.
Carbon Heating Technology Inside Linteum
At the heart of the Linteum 580W is a broad carbon heating element designed to distribute far-infrared warmth across the panel’s white aluminium surface.
Electrical resistance generates heat inside the carbon layer. The aluminium face then conducts and spreads this energy, becoming the panel’s large radiant heating surface.
Carbon Element vs Traditional NiCr Cables
Traditional infrared panels frequently use NiCr heating cables routed through the inside of the heater. Heat is initially concentrated along these narrow cable paths, which can create more noticeable differences between warmer and cooler areas.
Linteum’s broad carbon element generates heat across a larger internal area, helping provide:
More consistent panel temperatures
Fewer concentrated hot lines
Smoother far-infrared emission
Balanced heating across the surface
Reduced dependence on narrow cable routes
The carbon element and aluminium face work together: the carbon layer generates the heat, while the metal surface spreads and radiates it into the room.
The element is fully sealed inside the rigid panel and never comes into contact with the user.
Linteum produces 580 watts of heating power and consumes 0.58 kWh per full operating hour.
The result is broad, silent and evenly distributed far-infrared warmth from one slim heating surface.
WHY CHOOSE LINTEUM?
Far-infrared bathroom warmth and dry, comfortable towels in one slim design
Efficient Heating to SAVE MONEY
Warm Towels. Comfortable Bathrooms.
The Linteum 580W by Royal Infrared Heating® is a slim far-infrared panel heater with an integrated brushed-metal towel rail, designed to bring comfortable warmth and everyday practicality to modern bathrooms.
With 580 watts of power and a panel size of 100 × 60 × 2.5 cm, Linteum is suitable for bathrooms and other spaces up to 10 m², depending on insulation, ceiling height, windows and room layout. Its clean white surface and slim profile provide effective heating without occupying valuable floor space.
Natural Far-Infrared Warmth
Instead of relying on strong air circulation, Linteum radiates warmth towards people, walls, floors, furniture and surrounding bathroom surfaces.
This creates a gentle and balanced feeling of heat while helping reduce unnecessary air and dust movement. The towel rail keeps towels close to the warm panel surface, helping them feel comfortable and supporting faster drying after use.
Simple Installation and Flexible Control
Linteum is designed for vertical wall installation and includes the required mounting kit and a two-metre EU plug cable for straightforward setup.
The heater can be operated manually using its rear power switch or connected to a compatible plug-in, hardwired or smart thermostat for automatic temperature control, schedules and remote operation.
Designed for Everyday Bathroom Comfort
With its IP54 splash-resistant construction, premium carbon heating technology and practical towel rail, Linteum combines room heating and towel comfort in one elegant wall-mounted product.
It is a reliable choice for customers who want efficient warmth, practical functionality and a clean modern bathroom design.
Bathroom Warmth That Feels More Natural
The Linteum 580W uses far-infrared heating to create gentle, comfortable warmth that feels similar to natural sunlight - without producing UV radiation.
Instead of blowing hot air around the bathroom, Linteum warms people, walls, floors, tiles, furniture and surrounding surfaces directly. This creates a softer and more balanced feeling of heat without the stuffiness or strong airflow associated with some conventional heaters.
Direct Heating for Lasting Comfort
Traditional convection heaters mainly warm the air first. As warm air rises, heat can collect near the ceiling while lower areas and surrounding surfaces remain cooler.
Far-infrared heating works differently. Linteum transfers radiant energy towards the surfaces and objects in the bathroom. After absorbing this warmth, those surfaces gradually release part of it back into the room.
This helps create a steadier indoor temperature and allows the bathroom to remain comfortable after the heater switches off.
Less Forced Air and Dust Movement
Linteum does not use a fan or depend on strong air circulation to distribute warmth.
With no fan continuously pushing air around the bathroom, less dust is disturbed and the room remains quieter and calmer. The heater also avoids the constant stream of hot air produced by fan heaters, helping create a more pleasant environment during regular use.
Premium Carbon Heating Technology
Inside the Linteum panel is a broad premium carbon heating element designed to distribute warmth consistently across its white aluminium surface.
Unlike traditional infrared panels that use narrow NiCr heating cables, the carbon element generates heat across a larger internal area. This supports a more uniform panel temperature with fewer concentrated heating lines.
The aluminium face helps spread the heat further before releasing it as far-infrared energy into the bathroom.
Quality You Can Feel
The most important difference between infrared heaters is often hidden inside the product.
Linteum combines a high-quality carbon heating element with a heat-spreading aluminium surface to provide smooth, dependable and evenly distributed radiant warmth.
The result is a slim, silent heating solution designed to warm the bathroom, support comfortable towels and provide reliable everyday performance.
Efficient Bathroom Heating
The Linteum 580W provides comfortable far-infrared warmth with a rated power of 580 watts. When operating continuously at full power, the heater consumes 0.58 kWh for every full hour of use.
Instead of relying mainly on heated air, Linteum transfers radiant warmth towards people, walls, tiles, floors, furniture and other bathroom surfaces. This helps deliver heat where it can be felt and absorbed.
Warmth Stored by Bathroom Surfaces
Bathroom walls, tiles, floors and furniture absorb some of the infrared energy produced by the panel.
These surfaces gradually release part of the stored heat back into the room, helping create a steadier and more lasting feeling of comfort. This is different from fan or convection heaters, where warm air can rise quickly and collect near the ceiling.
Understanding the Running Cost
The running cost of Linteum depends on your electricity tariff and the number of hours the heating function operates each day.
For example:
0.58 kW × 4 hours per day × 30 days = 69.6 kWh per month
At an electricity price of €0.20 per kWh:
69.6 kWh × €0.20 = €13.92 per month
This calculation assumes four complete hours of continuous operation every day.
When Linteum is connected to a compatible thermostat, the heater can switch off automatically after reaching the selected temperature. Actual consumption may therefore be lower, depending on insulation, room size, outside temperature and thermostat settings.
Heating Larger Bathrooms
One Linteum 580W can heat an area of up to approximately 10 m², depending on insulation, ceiling height, windows and bathroom layout.
For larger bathrooms, dressing areas or commercial washrooms, more than one panel may be used. Installing heaters in different positions helps spread radiant warmth more evenly instead of relying on a single heating point.
Designed to Reduce Unnecessary Heat Loss
Traditional heaters primarily warm the air, which can rise towards the ceiling or escape when bathroom doors and windows are opened.
Linteum directs radiant energy towards people and surrounding surfaces. When correctly sized and positioned, this provides a practical balance between bathroom comfort, electricity consumption and daily running cost.
Warmer Surfaces, Less Condensation
The Linteum 580W helps create a warmer, more comfortable bathroom by radiating heat towards people and surrounding surfaces rather than warming only the air.
Condensation forms when warm, humid air meets cold surfaces. By raising the temperature of nearby walls, tiles and fittings, far-infrared heating can help reduce cold spots where moisture is likely to settle.
Supporting a Drier Bathroom
Bathrooms naturally produce high levels of humidity. Linteum provides gentle, consistent warmth while its integrated rail keeps towels warm and helps them dry more quickly after use.
This can make the bathroom feel less cold and damp, particularly during winter or in properties with naturally cool walls.
Helping to Discourage Mould Conditions
Mould develops most easily on surfaces that remain cold and damp. Keeping bathroom surfaces warmer may help moisture evaporate faster and reduce the conditions that encourage mould growth.
Important to Know
Infrared heating can help manage condensation, but it must be combined with effective ventilation. Extractor fans, open air vents and regular airing remain essential.
Any leaks, damaged insulation or structural damp should be professionally repaired, as heating alone cannot resolve the underlying cause.
Easy INSTALLATION & CONTROL
Simple Installation for Everyday Use
The Linteum 580W is designed for straightforward vertical wall installation. Once securely mounted, it connects to a suitable power socket using the supplied 2-metre EU plug cable.
Its integrated towel rail combines comfortable bathroom heating with a convenient place to warm and dry towels.
No Complex Heating System Required
Linteum operates independently without pipes, boilers or connection to a central heating system. This makes it a practical solution for bathrooms, en-suites, utility rooms and other spaces requiring additional warmth.
Wall-Mounting Kit Included
The required wall-mounting kit is supplied with the heater. Its slim, wall-mounted design saves floor space and creates a clean, modern finish.
Installation must follow the supplied instructions and local bathroom electrical-safety regulations.
Plug In and Enjoy
Once correctly mounted and safely connected to power, Linteum is ready to use. A compatible thermostat can be added for more convenient temperature control and efficient daily operation.
Optional Hardwired Installation
For a cleaner, permanent finish, Linteum can be hardwired by a qualified electrician. This allows the cable to be concealed and the heater to integrate more neatly into the bathroom.
All electrical connections must be positioned within an approved bathroom zone and completed in accordance with local regulations.
Reliable Thermostat Control
The Linteum 580W works with compatible external thermostats, giving you flexible and dependable control over your bathroom heating.
It can be used with a plug-in thermostat or connected to a suitable hardwired mains thermostat by a qualified electrician.
Smart Heating from Your Phone
When paired with a compatible Wi-Fi thermostat, Linteum can be controlled remotely from a smartphone. Depending on the thermostat, you can adjust the temperature, create heating schedules and switch the heater on before using the bathroom.
This provides convenient smart control while keeping the heater itself simple and reliable.
Plug-In Thermostat Options
A plug-in thermostat offers straightforward temperature control without permanent electrical work. Linteum connects to the thermostat, which then connects to a suitable wall socket.
Manual, programmable and Wi-Fi-enabled models are available. The socket and thermostat must be positioned outside restricted bathroom zones and comply with local electrical regulations.
Hardwired Thermostat Options
For a cleaner, permanent installation, Linteum can be connected to a hardwired thermostat by a qualified electrician.
This option is ideal for concealed wiring, controlling multiple heaters or creating separate heating zones. Additional switching equipment may be required when controlling several panels.
Manual Power Switch
Linteum also includes a discreet power switch for basic on-and-off operation. However, this switch does not regulate temperature.
For greater comfort and more efficient daily use, we recommend pairing the heater with a compatible thermostat.
Flexible Control for Different Installations
Linteum can work with Royal Infrared Heating® thermostats and suitable third-party controls, provided they are correctly rated for the heater’s 580W electrical load.
All bathroom electrical work must comply with local safety regulations.
Vertical Wall Installation
The Linteum 580W is designed exclusively for vertical wall mounting, ensuring that the heater and integrated towel rail operate correctly.
Its slim profile fits neatly into modern bathrooms while keeping valuable floor space clear.
Secure Four-Point Mounting
The supplied installation kit uses four mounting points to hold the heater securely against a suitable wall.
The brackets are already attached to the panel, making installation straightforward when the official instructions are followed.
Flexible Towel-Rail Position
The towel rail can be attached to the upper or lower mounting bracket, allowing you to choose the most practical position for your towels.
The heater should be installed at a comfortable height and close to the area where warmth is needed most.
Positioning and Safety
Linteum must not be installed horizontally or mounted on a ceiling. Always maintain the recommended distances from furniture, curtains and other objects.
Bathroom installation must comply with local electrical-safety regulations and should be completed by a qualified electrician when hardwiring is required.
Installation Guide
For measurements, minimum clearances and step-by-step fitting instructions, please follow the official guide.
Quality Beyond the Surface
Many infrared towel heaters may look similar, but the most important differences are found inside.
The Linteum 580W by Royal Infrared Heating® combines carefully selected materials, premium carbon heating technology and a durable aluminium towel rail to deliver dependable bathroom warmth and everyday towel comfort.
Premium Carbon Heating Technology
A broad carbon heating element helps distribute far-infrared warmth consistently across the panel’s surface.
Unlike traditional heating cables that concentrate heat along individual lines, carbon technology supports broader heat coverage with fewer localised hot spots.
Built for Long-Term Use
Linteum is designed for regular daily operation, with a stated service life of more than 100,000 hours and a five-year warranty.
Its fixed, wall-mounted construction contains no fan or moving heating components, supporting quiet and low-maintenance operation.
Splash-Resistant Design
With an IP54 rating, Linteum is protected against limited water splashes when correctly installed. Its slim vertical design keeps the heater securely positioned while saving valuable bathroom floor space.
IP54 does not mean waterproof. The heater must be installed within an approved bathroom zone and in accordance with local electrical regulations.
Reliable Everyday Comfort
Linteum is designed for customers who value more than appearance. It combines far-infrared room heating with a practical towel rail in one clean, durable product.
The result is consistent warmth, reliable performance and lasting value for the modern bathroom.

Outdoor
The Linteum 580W can heat up to 13m² in well-insulated rooms. For larger spaces, open-plan areas or rooms with weaker insulation, using more than one panel helps spread warmth more evenly and improves comfort.
| Room Size | Well Insulated | Typical Insulation | Poorly Insulated |
|---|---|---|---|
| Up to 7m² | 1 panel | 1 panel | 1 panel |
| 8–13m² | 1 panel | 2 panels | 2 panels |
| 14–20m² | 2 panels | 2 panels | 3 panels |
| 21–26m² | 2 panels | 3 panels | 4 panels |
| 27–39m² | 3 panels | 4 panels | 5 panels |
Important to Know
This guide is an estimate. The correct number of panels depends on insulation, ceiling height, window quality, room layout, outside temperature and how warm you want the room to feel.
For larger areas, using multiple Linteum 580W panels can be more effective than relying on one heating point, as warmth is spread more naturally across the room.
Each Linteum 580W panel uses 0.58 kWh per hour when running at full power. However, when connected to a thermostat, the panel does not usually run continuously for the full heating period.
Once the room reaches the set temperature, the thermostat switches the panel off. Even after switching off, the panel and the warmed surfaces in the room continue to release gentle residual heat for around 30 minutes. The heat becomes softer during this time, but the room can still feel warm and comfortable.
This is one of the advantages of far infrared heating. Walls, floors, furniture and surrounding surfaces absorb the warmth and slowly release it back into the space, helping maintain comfort while reducing active electricity use.
As a practical estimate, if you want around 4 hours of comfortable heating, the panel may only need to actively run for approximately 2–3 hours. Actual use depends on insulation, room layout, thermostat settings, outside temperature and the month of the year.
During colder winter months, the panel may run for longer. During milder months, it may switch off more often and use less electricity.
Estimated Monthly Cost Example
Based on an electricity rate of €0.20 per kWh:
| Panels | 4 hrs/day | 6 hrs/day | 8 hrs/day |
| 1 panel | €8.70–€10.44 | €13.05–€15.66 | €17.40–€20.88 |
| 2 panels | €17.40–€20.88 | €26.10–€31.32 | €34.80–€41.76 |
| 3 panels | €26.10–€31.32 | €39.15–€46.98 | €52.20–€62.64 |
| 4 panels | €34.80–€41.76 | €52.20–€62.64 | €69.60–€83.52 |
| 5 panels | €43.50–€52.20 | €65.25–€78.30 | €87.00–€104.40 |
Important to Know
These figures are estimates based on thermostat-controlled use. Actual consumption may be lower or higher depending on insulation, ceiling height, window quality, room layout, outside temperature, the month of the year and your preferred comfort level.
Using a thermostat helps reduce unnecessary energy use because the Linteum panel only runs when heat is needed. Even when the thermostat switches it off, the panel and the room’s warmed surfaces continue releasing softer residual warmth for a period of time, helping the room stay comfortable for longer.
